Dire year for journalists under state of emergency in Turkey

Backgrounder on the first anniversary of the failed coup in Turkey by the Reporters Sans Frontières Eastern Europe and Central Asia team. The trial of 19 journalists and other employees of the republican daily newspaper Cumhuriyet will start in Istanbul next week. Pacific Media Centre is an associate of RSF's Asia-Pacific media freedom research activity.

PMC hosting Gadjah Mada academic researcher team visit to AUT

A TEAM of seven academic researchers from the Universitas Gadjah Mada are visiting the Auckland University of Technology for two weeks on Monday.

They will be hosted by the Pacific Media Centre in the School of Communication Studies for a series of seminars, workshops and research collaboration projects.
